THE OCEANIC WHITE TIP SHARK : A ("New") Threatened Species of Shark Enlisted by The US Adm

The Oceanic White Tip Shark is one of the few and main shark species involved in shark attacks when shipwreck or air crashes abroad. In fact, being a pelagic shark swimming in deep and open waters, its diet includes mostly cephalopods and bony fishes (not people ....), sea livings having a fairly high content of fat and proteins, nutrients needed by its open sea behaviour showing less food than in coastline areas.

Unfortunately, the Oceanic White Tip Shark is heavyly fished for its fins, meat, and oil. Besides, bycatch is not unusual, because the sharks are drawn to longline bait that is intended for other species. Next, overfishing, loss of habitats (e.g., pollution, vessel oceanic roads) have greatly decrease its population.

On January 30, 2018, the US Administration made the decision to enlist the Oceanic White Tip Shark as an endangered shark species with ESA (Endangered Species Act), as indicated in the reference given hereafter.

The Oceanic White Tip Shark, in fact, was listed by the scientist, designer, and owner of the SHARK RESEARCH Opal & Silver Coasts (EU) as a species to be investigated and, hoping that, to be tagged too and possibly.
