Sharks in the Bay of Biscaye : Some Species Found in A Video With A Shark Ambassador Diving
As indicated in another post, Dr. Craig O'CONNELL is a CRESSI Shark Ambassador (CRESSI : https://www.cressi.com/), but before all, Dr. O'CONNELL is a marine biologist, as well a (Shark) diver (free diving and scuba diving).
In one of the CRESSI video clips, one may see Craig O'CONNELL swimming with a Blue Shark, a species that we find in the Bay of Biscaye, and in other areas of the North-East/West Atlantic fo example. A misinformation we can hear often along the quays of harbours or in the fish markets is that the Blue Shark (Prionace glauca) is frequent, and hence can be fished without concern. In fact, this is wrong : the population of Blue Sharks is decreasing continuously since many years or decades, and so should be restaured too, as for almost all, or all, Shark species in the world.
